The Special Task Force (STF) today arrested Gandara Saman, an organized criminal, with a T-56 assault rifle, several rounds of ammunition and a sword.
Officers of the Tangalle camp were able to arrest the suspect during a raid carried out in Gandara, Thalalla area.
Under the direct supervision of STF Commander DIG Waruna Jayasundara, a team of officers including STF Tangalle OIC Chief Inspector K.A.C.K. Marapana conducted the raid and handed over the suspect and the weapons found to the Gandara Police Station for further investigations.
