The Supreme Court today ordered the release of Riaz Bathiudeen, who has been arrested by the CID in connection with the Easter attack.
Riaz Bathiudeen is the brother of Rishad Bathiudeen, a Member of Parliament.
On April 24, CID officers conducted a simultaneous raid and arrested two brothers, Rishad Bathiudeen and Riaz Bathiudeen, and detained them under the Terrorism Investigation Act.
They had also filed a petition in the Supreme Court alleging that their arrest and detention was illegal.
Following a petition filed by Riaz Bathiudeen, the Supreme Court released him on strict conditions.
