Asserting that the public service had been expanded beyond the means of the country, Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa said no benefit would be given for it at the cost of public money.
He said any concession for public servants means a drain on public money.
He was responding to a query by a journalist at the press conference.
He ruled out anything for the public service at the cost of public money.
