The budget proposes to reduce the fuel limit for public officers by 5 litres and to reduce the telephone allowance for government agencies and officials by 25%.
The budget also proposes to reduce the electricity bills of state institutions.
Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of Finance has proposed this in his budget speech.
Meanwhile, a new bill will be introduced to give equal rights to citizens with special needs.
This will further strengthen the concept of equal opportunities for people with special needs to bring greater equality to the country.
