“No random PCR and RAT tests carried out during last 2 months” – President of PHI Association

The President of the PHI Association Upul Rohana stated today (10) that random PCR tests and rapid antigen tests have not been carried out by public health inspectors for about two months.

Accordingly, 99% of the places where PCR and Rapid antigen tests were done earlier are not being tested at present, he said.

He also said that at present no PCR tests are being conducted in quarantine centers.

Upul Rohana, President of the Public Health Inspectors’ Association further stated that daily infections are reported from people who come to hospitals and offices of health officers for urgent reasons.

However, it was reported to Newswave that random PCR tests were still being conducted in some parts of the island today under the supervision of Public Health Inspectors.
