The Met Department warns that there is a risk of thundershowers in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Central and North-western provinces and in the Mannar, Badulla, Galle and Matara districts.
The Department also states that there could be more than 100mm showers in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central and North Central Provinces.
The Meteorological Department also urges the public to take necessary measures to reduce the risk of temporary strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
