Lithuania warns not to use Chinese 5G mobiles due to security issues

Lithuania’s Defense Ministry has warned consumers in Lithuania to discard their current Chinese phones and refrain from buying new ones.

This is according to a report from the National Cyber ​​Security Center in Lithuania, which tested 5G mobile phones from Chinese manufacturers.

That said, in one Xiaomi model had built-in censorship tools and another Huawei model had security vulnerabilities.

Huawei has stated that it will not release any user data and that Xiaomi does not have censorship tools.

“Our recommendation is not to buy new Chinese phones, but to remove the purchased ones as soon as possible,” said Deputy Minister of Defense Magiris Abukevisius.
