State Minister of Consumer Protection Lasantha Alagiyawanna says that the prices of several items including gas and milk powder may increase in the country in the future.
He was speaking at the opening of the new Q-SHOP outlet of the State Commercial Miscellaneous Corporation near the Fort Railway Station today (21).
“In practice, we will have to go for some kind of increase in line with the increase in world market prices. We will make a final decision this summer, especially on rice, milk powder, gas and cement,” said Lasantha Alagiyawanna.
